The Global Addressable Media team is a team of 100+ digital media specialists with over 30 different nationalities. From our home base in London and Amsterdam we operate globally, covering 50+ markets. Role purpose

This position resides in the Global Addressable Media team within dentsu.  

The role is a rare opportunity to work with some of the biggest global brands, implementing best-in-class programmatic and social processes and drive growth with our current clients and also supporting on boarding new clients.  

The Technical Lead will be responsible for managing a team of a Campaign Managers of varying experience. The role sits alongside the Programmatic Client Services team in developing campaign plans and strategic roadmaps for Global Clients. 

The Technical Lead will also be expected to keep up to date on industry trends and seek opportunities to drive technical innovation, leading the technical implementation of new products, innovative formats etc. The ambition is to support the GAM team as industry leaders. 

What are you going to achieve? 

The Technical Lead, has three main areas of responsibilities: 

  1. Managing and building the technical capabilities of the GAM Amsterdam campaign management team to deliver trading excellence across GAM client campaigns.  

  2. Technical projects; being a technical expert on industry announcements and innovations. 

  3. Be a team leader directly managing of 3-5 Senior Campaign Managers and supporting them with the line management of their team. 

Technical Capabilities 

  • Lead the trading of client campaigns across a number of DSP’s including DV360, TTD and Amazon. POC for trading team for support;

  • Understand client’s business needs and objectives while leading key clients trading and optimising, delivering best in class campaigns;

  • Support campaign management team when needed with troubleshooting across integrations, pixel issues and deal set up and delivery;

  • Client facing responsibilities including technical leadership and best practice during client meetings;

  • Point of escalation for campaign management team supporting with technical issues, communication, and workload management;

  • Responsible for defining and delivering of efficient and effective workflows and processes. 

Technical Projects 

  • Lead client technical projects such as automation, fed management and integrations;

  • Identify and input into wider ad hoc projects including involvement in strategic projects to provide technical excellence for central clients. This includes POVs, process auditing and recommendations, assessing new technology and innovation;

  • Support with the implementation and success of dentsu’s marketplace across programmatic activity;

  • Proactively sharing and putting together POV’s on latest industry trends and sharing with clients.  

Team Leader 

  • Leading the campaign management team across GAM key clients, the technical lead is responsible for onboarding, training, setting KPIs and performance management of Campaign Management team;

  • Direct line management of Senior Campaign Managers, the Technical lead is responsible for the wider team including Campaign Managers and Campaigns Execs;

  • Support senior campaign managers with the management of team tasks, workload, processes, resources, and objectives;

  • Support in the development of the wider team by supporting with trainings to upskill the GAM team across Programmatic and Social;

  • Undertake training and education sessions with clients and agencies to improve programmatic knowledge within the group. 

Who are you?

  • You have at least 5 years’ experience in programmatic and social campaign activation;

  • You are proficient in using several platforms including DV360, TTD, Amazon, TAM, and META;

  • You have experience in team management;

  • You are an expert when it comes to Ad serving and DCO;

  • You have strong presentational and problem-solving skills;

  • You mastering in managing technical projects;

  • You are known for your exceptional client servicing capacity;

  • You have excellent communication and collaboration skills;

  • You have a strong passion for digital marketing and the desire to grow within this industry.
